Pete is a solution focused General Manager/CEO with a career demonstrating visionary leadership and performance in people management, strategic project management and business growth. With a wealth of experience in events, hospitality, tourism, retail, business to business sales, small business and management, Pete is a passionate contributor to growing tourism in outback Queensland.
Outside of work he loves the beach, walking, reading and travel.
Sally began with OQTA in February 2017 after completing a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management, majoring in Tourism with the University of Queensland. She strives to continue pursuing her passion for the tourism industry with OQTA, after studying abroad and working in the Brisbane Visitor Information Centre. Sally is always on the hunt for an adventure can’t wait to see where her Outback Queensland adventure takes her.
Prue Fargher joined the OQTA family in 2015 and is based on a Station in between Longreach and Winton. Prue has a long history in event management and tourism, given her past roles at the Birdsville Race Club, the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and South Australia’s, Prairie Hotel.
Prue helps to manage the OQTA Consumer Shows and the annual Outback Queensland Tourism Development Roadshow.
Members and Administration Manager
Carlie is OQTA’s Members and Administration manager who distributes the membership deliverables, industry newsletter, content for marketing/social media, website information and more. Carlie received a Bachelors’ degree at the University of Queensland, St. Lucia campus in 2015 and majored in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She is passionate about taking onboard new opportunities, improving her professional profile and exploring the outback which she now calls home.
Media and Marketing Manager
Hannah is a Brisbane-based media specialist with seven years experience managing publicity campaigns, writing clickable-copy and running social media accounts.
She has worked in a variety of industries from finance to tourism, delivering targeted communications for her clients.
