Local history, iconic Australian wildlife, fascinating flora, waterholes, sustainable agriculture, coal seam gas.

BOOBOOK will show you some of the district’s best kept natural secrets all within a stone’s throw of Roma. Uncover the local history and listen to tales as you drive to a working cropping and grazing property which integrates its operation with coal seam gas production. Take a leisurely walk through bushland and lunch alongside a beautiful spring fed waterhole lined with red gums. As you explore the waterhole, keep an eye out for platypus, wallabies, turtles and goannas. While traversing brigalow, dry rainforest and cypress/ironbark woodlands you’ll be amazed at the diversity of plants these vegetation communities contain. The ecological professional guides will point out bottle trees, kurrajongs, and bush tucker plants. Enjoy the easy-going pace as we take time to escape from daily pressures and connect with the land.
