About Oma Waterhole
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Council has closed the camping facilities until further notice.
Come and see why the locals visit this popular fishing hole. It is located on the famous Barcoo River only 17 kilometres south-west on the Isisford-Yaraka River Road. It is the widest part of this unique river system and has great fishing for the local yellow belly. The fishing hole is quiet and a great place to just relax and enjoy nature at its best. The bird life is abundant and you can often see the pelicans and eagles filling their bellies. There are many camping areas along the banks of the river. Please ensure camp fires are distinguished before departing.
