Scrub up at Eulo’s Artesian Mud Baths

Visitors from far and wide flock to Queensland’s Outback in numbers to seek the warmer weather during the cooler months. It’s not only the temperature that causes this mass migration phenomenon, the sounds of country music at The Big Red Bash and Eulo’s local music festival Music In the Mulga add to this fly-in of humankind to Outback Queensland’s South West. Eulo’s Artesian Mud Baths are the perfect pit stop on your migration through the Outback, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated before heading back on the road.

Eulo’s Artesian Mud Baths love welcoming travellers to the ‘Montville of the Outback’ and they pride themselves in accommodating their guests requests as best as they can. The south west town is known for its ancient artesian springs where water oozes to the surface as milky grey mud. Estimated to be 20,000 years old, rich in silica, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron and zinc, the silky feeling mud comes from deep beneath the surface of the earth.

At the Artesian Mud Baths, soak in warm artesian water impregnated with clay, then pat on a milky grey mud pack and let your skin soak in the goodness from this mineral rich mud. The baths are located in a quirky and relaxing outdoor environment, set within a thatched walled enclosure, the bathing area is complete with three baths and a beef wood shower, along with antique washroom accessories from a by-gone era. The stretch bath, complete with shower tree can be a unique experience for couples, day time or evening.
