About Quamby

Population: 0

Located approximately 60km from Cloncurry, Quamby was once a busy little railway town servicing the cattle and mining industries.

Today it is a ghost town and remains as a roadside stop between the towns of Cloncurry and Normanton. The Quamby Pub which is now closed, was built in the 1860s and is all that remains of a once prosperous gold mining and cattle fattening district.

The town comes alive in July hosting the Annual Quamby Rodeo.
