As part of Queensland Dinosaur Week, experience a unique virtual palaeontology session broadcast live at the Eromanga Natural History Museum.

Join leading palaeontologist Dr Scott Hocknull as he shares insights into some of Australia’s most significant fossil discoveries. Explore the story of Outback Queensland’s giant dinosaurs, including the largest species ever found in Australia, and the ancient environments they inhabited around 90 million years ago.

The session also ventures into a later chapter of Australia’s natural history, introducing the remarkable megafauna that once roamed the region. Learn about Diprotodon, the world’s largest marsupial, and other species uncovered in extensive fossil deposits near Eulo. While separated by millions of years, both dinosaurs and megafauna once lived within this extraordinary landscape.
