Julia Creek Community Markets

The Julia Creek markets are a free for all event, held at Peter Dawes park every second Saturday during the months of May – August. The park is located on the north side of Burke Street. Boasting a large shaded area and covered playground for both travelers and families to enjoy.
This is an opportunity to taste some local cooking, support the Lions Club and purchase some handmade pottery, which is crafted, fired and painted here at the Multicultural Center.
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
- Caters for people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
- Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
- Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
- Caters for people with high support needs who travel with a support person.
- Caters for people with allergies and intolerances.
