An annual highlight on the Julia Creek calendar is the annual Town vs Country match. This involves a game of rugby league between those who live in Julia Creek (town) and those on surrounding cattle properties or who live outside of Julia Creek (country).
The day also consists of netball and rugby league for juniors and seniors and fosters great community spirit.
