The evening begins with guests gathering at the Museum’s Reception Centre for a complimentary sausage sizzle (soft drinks available for purchase). It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow visitors, chat with scientists and hear from special guest presenter Professor Jonti Horner, a leading Australian astronomer.

The event moves to the Gondwana Stars Observatory, where resident astronomer Grant will guide guests through the wonders of the night sky. Discover the importance of protecting dark skies, learn about the impacts of light pollution on wildlife and people and explore the fascinating connections between astronomy and natural history.

Professor Horner will then present an engaging talk, sharing insights into our universe and the exciting discoveries being made beyond Earth. As darkness settles, enjoy telescope viewing and experience the breathtaking brilliance of the stars above Winton before the evening concludes.
