The Brick Hotel

34-36 Brolga Street, Quilpie, QLD

The Brick Hotel holds pride of place in Quilpie, Outback Queensland. Built in 1926 by local identity Jimmy Corones, it was the first establishment in Quilpie built from bricks hence locals nicknaming it “The Brick”

This recently renovated building has many original features including pressed tin ceilings in the bar, dining room, reception area, first floor landing and bedrooms, Cyprus timber flooring and grand stairwell chandelier. The façade is unchanged.

Rooms – All freshly renovated rooms feature comfortable bedding, modern conveniences and authentic heritage decor. Choose from ensuite or shared facilities which includes coffee making facilities, fridge, wall mounted television, air conditioning, ceiling fan, linen and towels, drinking water.

A full length veranda provides additional outdoor seating and sun loungers. Shaded until mid-afternoon it’s a great place to relax and soak up the atmosphere of Quilpie town. Later in the day its sun kissed for a short time, before providing a great viewing platform to watch the outback’s spectacular sunsets with a signature cocktail “The Quilpie Quencher”
