Get up close to iconic aircraft, meet pilots and aviation legends, and experience an impressive tarmac display featuring the return of the Boomerang.
Set in aviation-rich Charleville, Wings on the Warrego is a family-friendly celebration of flight that brings aviation history, careers, technology and hands-on experiences together.
Walk among warbirds and classic aircraft, enjoy flyovers and meet the pilots and owners behind some of Australia’s most iconic aircraft. The aviation careers expo will also give young people the opportunity to discover the many career pathways available across the aviation industry.
The program extends beyond the airfield with an aviation-themed trivia night inspired by the 1940s, along with Drone Camp, where young participants can learn to code and pilot a drone, navigate an obstacle course and complete flight missions with qualified instructors.
Visitors can also enjoy a pre-flight gathering at the historic Hotel Corones, while joy flights will be available across the weekend for those wanting to take their Wings on the Warrego experience to the skies.
Wings on the Warrego celebrates Charleville’s rich aviation heritage while inspiring the next generation to look to the skies and discover where aviation could take them.
