Get ready for one of South West Queensland’s most unique country events!
The Thallon State School P&C Association proudly presents the 2026 Thallon Team Truck Pull on Saturday, 29 August — a high-energy day of horsepower, teamwork, and outback community spirit.
The main event sees teams of six battle it out to pull a 12-tonne prime mover 25 metres in the fastest time possible. With both Men’s and Women’s divisions, expect plenty of friendly rivalry, cheering crowds, and big country strength on display.
But it’s more than just a truck pull. Bring the whole family and enjoy:

Proudly run by the Thallon State School P&C Association, the event raises funds to support the local school and improve opportunities for rural students and families.
Whether you’re competing, spectating, or just chasing a great day out in the bush — the Thallon Truck Pull delivers country fun with a whole lot of heart.

- Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
- Provide information in large print
- Have handrails on all your stairways
- Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
- Have grab rails in the bathroom
- Provide seating in common areas including reception area
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- Have step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters)
- Have a step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
- Have an accessible public toilet which is unlocked
- Have a wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room
- Have wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height)
